Along with the dawning of summer, bright and fun prints comes with it. This year, the print of the season is cactus! I love the fun takes on the prickly plant, from cartoon-esque drawings, to sequins, to photo prints. The colors that go along side the cactus prints are some of my favorites: washes of green with pinks, preferrable a blush tone. cactus shoes // cactus shirtdress
It may be behind my original timeline but finally, finally my Spring capsule wardrobe is completed. I had ordered a few tops from Swap (the online thrift store I am obsessed with) and wanted to make sure they worked well with the other items I have before posting! I am sharing my blouses, bottoms, dresses, and third layers- things like tee shirts, shoes, and undergarments I just can’t limit! Since my job has changed, I have to be able to dress for the office as well as outfits for playing with Lucy. I feel that every item is very versatile and can go with multiple other items.
Most of my items are either thrifted or are past season, so I have included similar items for you to shop. And just a head’s up, I have way more jackets in my capsule than a normal person would- working at Anthro taught me the importance of a third layer so I always have to have on a jacket or a sweater! Here it is!

This month as I build my Spring and Summer capsule (yep, I’m still building- it’s taking longer than I thought!), I am gleaning inspiration from a few of the following sources:
+ I love the styling in old Madewell collections. Some of these outfits go back to 2012 and yet they are still so good!
+ I am also loving clogs. This little video is so cute!
+ Embroidered details! This blouse from Zara is less than $13 and I’m kind of loving it’s simplicity yet beautiful details.
