Our little Lucy is somehow 8 months old now. I looked at the calendar and realized I was two days past the 27th which gave me quite a bit of mom-guilt for letting that special day pass by.
Aside from the usual nitty-gritty, HARD WORK that any baby normally is, Lucy has been SO much fun lately. She’s waving, babbling away, singing, eating lots and lots of real food, and smiling from ear to ear. She still doesn’t love green beans (who does?!) but the girl can seriously shovel it in. The doctor told us to let her eat until she is full but I’m a little concerned we could be sitting at the table all night long with Lucy continuing to eat whatever we give her.
Her latest trick is waving, which she does to anybody or anything. When a new person enters the room, she waves. When there’s a puff that has fallen to the floor, she waves. When we walk by the fridge full of Christmas cards, she waves. When she sees her best friend Max, she waves. (Which is a whole other story- she loves, loves, loves her pup!)
We have officially entered teething, with two little teeth on the bottom row. They are sharp little buggers so whenever she tries to grab a finger to chew on, we have learned to quickly replace our hand with a teething toy!
This next month will be a fun one, as we will be taking Lucy to Texas for the second time in her life. I’m sure she will love getting attention from her Ama and Papa (my parents) and her aunties, uncles, and cousins.
