Bruneau Sand Dunes Adventure & an Earth Mama Organics Tinted Sunscreen Review
Looking back over the year makes me realize that even though COVID put a tamper on big travels, we still had plenty of fun. No, we didn’t get out too much- just one camping trip, a day trip to the sand dunes and a trip to Texas to visit family- but all were highlights!
Bruneau Dunes State Park in Bruneau, Idaho
Our day trip to the sand dunes back in September was a great experience that amazed me how quick and effortless it was to get out and enjoy! One of the many perks of living in Southern Idaho… We packed a picnic after breakfast and headed out on a quick little adventure. We stayed for a few hours to explore the dunes and then turned around and made it home by mid afternoon. It sounds short and sweet (it was) but for parents with little ones, it was IDEAL. For more information on the Bruneau Dunes State Park, click here. Visit Idaho has a great post on tips when visiting the dunes as well. I’d suggest visiting in late Sprint to early Summer, or Fall (September was great). The heat can get pretty intense out on the dunes! One of these days we will plan a camping trip with the girls to stay out there overnight- that would be such a great time!
Earth Mama Organics Tinted Mineral Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 40
While we were out in the sun, I tested out some Tinted Mineral Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 40 from Earth Mama Organics. I have always been disappointed in mineral sunscreen, since I look like a piece of white chalk the whole day after applying! The new tinted version from Earth Mama does a great job at combatting that. I also like that I can put it on the girls in a pinch and feel comfortable with it’s safe ingredients! The tint isn’t intense by any means- it mainly just covers the usual white layer of mineral sunscreen. I even used it on my face during our Texas travels and it was a nice sheer layer of coverage that wasn’t at all cakey! If you’re planning any adventures out into the sun during 2021 (we all are just dying for some major travels, aren’t we?!)- pick up some sunscreen here!
