A few weeks ago, a good friend over at The Gray Walls wrote about The Country Life. Ever since, I have been drooling over photos of farmhouses on Pinterest! I tend to be drawn to the “modern farmhouse”- an abode with the perfect balance of sleek modernity and classic features. The pitched roofs, extensive porches, and neutral coloring are just a few of the elements that classify. I absolutely love modern homes but I’m sure in 25 years we will all look back and say, “That was definitely built in the early 2000s!” On the other hand, the modern farmhouse is traditional enough to withstand time. For now, these photos will just be additional inspiration on my “To Build a Dream House” Pinterest Board, but someday I would love a little modern farmhouse away from town!
