Even with a curious and busy toddler, there isn’t much of a more relaxing time than a fishing trip. Last year was Lucy’s first Duck Valley experience and to say this trip was easier would be an understatement! Instead of wanting to crawl all over in the dirt and wanting to put everything from the ground in her mouth, she was able to run around and play on her own, and loved being out on the boat. She even touched a fish with some coaxing! What a difference between one and two years old.
For our first fishing trip of the season, we traveled to Mountain View Lake, on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation for some trout fishing. Usually the weather is quite extreme- think wind blowing tents sideways, rain and even snow. But this year it was in the 70s and so pleasant! We even got sun burns- how crazy?! The lake is only a few hours from Boise so camping there is the perfect weekend getaway.
Duck Valley always marks the beginning of camping season for us, so I’m very excited for our upcoming outings!
