Happy First Day of Fall! We are entering my favorite season here in Boise, where the mornings and evenings are crisp and the days warm up with a sunny glow.
Fall activities are aplenty here in the Treasure Valley- between the Oktoberfests, corn mazes and football games, there isn’t enough days in the season to take part in everything. I love prioritizing by making a list of our top five things to do!
Here is our Fall bucket list:
1. Go to a corn maze.
The Farmstead is our favorite corn maze, since it’s so close in proximity to our house! I also like how many activities are included in with admission to the corn maze. There’s a slide, a big trampoline, a cow train, petting zoo, and many more attractions for the littles!
2. Make a hearty soup.
Some of my favorites are Sweet Potato Chili and Zuppa Toscano! * both links are to Whole30/Paleo recipes.
3. Pick apples at an orchard.
Candy Apple Orchard
Cabalo’s Orchard
Tyler’s Rocky Point Orchard
4. Find the best fallen leaves.
I think downtown Boise has some of the best, but we find some great leaves right in our neighborhood! Fall strolls are the best.
5. Pick a pumpkin from a pumpkin patch.
Thankfully, The Farmstead also has a pumpkin patch so we check two items off our bucket list when we go to the corn maze (see number one).
*this photo was taken last year- Lucy sure has grown since!
