I’d like to share how this month has been going on the goal front. Maybe sharing a monthly overview will help me keep up or help me adjust how I’m using my time. So here’s what is working well and what is falling by the wayside!
I love this reminder that can be found Downtown Boise- keep on, keeping on!
Success:
- Taking 15 minutes every night to clean up the house has been a huge help with staying on top of clutter.
- Using my planner and sticking with my to do lists has kept me more efficient with my time.
- Following the zone cleaning schedule has kept me on top of deep cleaning certain sections of the house at a time and feels more manageable to tackle.
- Minimizing my clothing spending with selling a few items first (or along side a purchase). I did buy a (secondhand) Ace and Jig dress that I’ve been wanting for a long time. I can wear it now as a duster but it will be the most useful through the nursing stage once baby is here.
I also bought some KEDS sneakers for Disney but I did way too much research on how how I could really utilize white sneakers (come on, it’s sneakers- did I really need to spend so much time on the research portion?!) in my closet and I think they will be super useful and versatile. I should probably do a whole separate post on my inspiration on this- stay tuned!
Slacking:
- I haven’t been tracking my screen time like I wanted to. But I do charge my phone in another room and so instead of having it beside my bed, I have been reading a book at night to settle down which has cut some time off the screen. That feels like a success still!
- Exercising is more of a once a week thing instead of 2. But I’m justifying it (maybe that’s the problem) with my zone cleaning throughout the week- the other day my legs felt like I had done a million squats because I had cleaned throughout the day a little here and there!
How has the first month of 2020 gone for you?
