Today my grandpa had cataract surgery, and luckily Chase had to be in Yuma for work, so we were able to come down and be with them for a few days! This morning before the surgery, Grandpa and I went out in the backyard and picked citrus. It was a wonderful way to start the day! He also told me many stories about his childhood. One thing that surprised me was he said, “I am thankful I grew up in The Great Depression. It taught me to work.”. Pretty powerful words, I sure think!
