I am going to let you in on a secret. It’s the secret to caring for orchids- and not just keeping them alive, but allowing them to flourish! I have posted about orchid care in the past, but in the last 6 months I have changed up my routine and it seems to work wonderfully! Here it is.
Every 10 days, I fill the sink full of cold water. I take the orchids out of their decorative pots, so they are just in the plastic pots and set them in the sink for 10 minutes. I then drain the sink and allow the orchids to dry overnight before I put them back in their pots.
Also, every other watering I feed the orchids. After the watering, I dissolve one teaspoon of Grow More orchid food in a gallon of water. I pour the food onto the base of each orchid and let them dry overnight as I would a usual watering.
I am not a green thumb- so if I can grow orchids, you can too!
