There’s something so magical about the first snow of Winter. The cleansing white blanket covering any imperfection. The stillness and peacefulness of the quiet flakes falling. Even lack of sleep and a nasty lingering cold can be forgotten.
We had a rough night (to put it mildly) with a sick kid so were sleeping in this morning and thought we’d get the baby a little extra rest with a slow morning. But there’s something about the first snow for a little one- there’s no keeping them from it. The pure joy just from simply eating snow is contagious and makes us all, adults included, stop and enjoy the simple moments.
Needless to say, our slow morning was filled with fresh air. We did get a little extra sleep than we normally would on a Sunday morning but we also made some memories in the snow. We built an Olaf, complete with a carrot nose, then Lucy jumped on him as if he was a pile of Fall leaves. I’d like to think all the snow eating and activity will be like medicine for little Lulu’s cold!
Lucy’s jacket can be found here.
